August Update
What a year it’s been.
I hope everyone reading this is coping as well as possible with all the life changes the global pandemic has dealt us. I cannot thank the people who supported my tiny virtual ceramic shop throughout this time enough for not only helping keep my dream of owning a small art-driven business alive, but for also providing a positive distraction while in quarantine/self-isolation.
As difficult as it was to be stuck at home and to not have access to the community studio I work out of for three months, the quarantine gave me the opportunity to go through all of my pieces, re-evaluate my business model, and actually attempt to make an honest go at something I had once only dared to keep as a fantasy. I never would’ve thought that selling my crafts would work in such a difficult time in humanity’s history, but I shouldn’t be so surprised by the generosity of others.
Now that segments of our communities are open once again (with caution and safety, of course), I’m attempting to grow my business as well by participating in collaborations with other artists, finding more brick and mortar stockists, and penning bi-monthly newsletter emails to keep customers updated to all the new items and shop updates.
I don’t know what the remaining months of the year will bring us, but I hope you continue the journey with me.
